TV Ceiling Mount ScreenTrain - Installation Checklist

On this page, you will find out what to look for in order to smoothly install the ScreenTrain TV mount in your premises.

The checklist includes 2 points:

1. Checking the space requirement in your premises
2. Checking the routing of the leads (power, antenna cable, HDMI cable, etc.) to the TV mount ScreenTrain

1. Checking the space requirement in your premises

1.1 Check room conditions

Check if there is enough free space for the ScreenTrain on the ceiling.

  • This is 33.5cm wide.
  • Depending on the version, this length is dimension “A”:
  • 2 metres ScreenTrain: 210.6 cm plus 2x 2.3 cm mounting distance of the side covers = 215.2 cm
  • 3 metres ScreenTrain: 310.6 cm plus 2x 2.3cm mounting distance of the side covers = 315.2 cm
  • 4 metres ScreenTrain: 410.6 cm plus 2x 2.3 cm mounting distance of the side covers = 415.2 cm

1.2 Check the desired travel path

Check whether the required space for the desired travel path of the TV ceiling mount ScreenTrain is available and also check the space required to turn the TV (depending on the size of your TV) if you want to do it on-site. Also check the ceiling height of your premises for compatibility with the “B min” and “B max” below.

2. Check the routing of the cables (power, antenna cable, HDMI cable, etc.) to the ScreenTrain TV mount

The lower diagram shows an example of a concept regarding the laying of cables. You only need to lay your supply lines up to the side cover of the ScreenTrain (flush-mounted or surface-mounted). The internal lines of the ScreenTrains then connect on one side with your supply lines and on the other side with your TV -> finished

The internal connections for the cable lead to the ScreenTrain are located on the front of the ScreenTrain under the side cover.

2.1 Cable routing flush-mounted (for surface-mounted installation see 2.2)

The cable passage through the ceiling is positioned as measured below, relative to the ScreenTrain. The diameter of the hole should be no more than 6.5cm so that the side cover will conceal it completely. The cables should protrude with a length of about 15 cm from the ceiling.

2.2 Cable laying surface-mounted

Laying the leads to the ScreenTrain via the surface-mounted cable duct can also be done after the ScreenTrain has been mounted on the ceiling. Just lay a cable duct 40mm x 20mm up to the side cover of the ScreenTrain. You will receive a side cover with a matching cutout for the cable duct.

Once you have completed points 1 and 2 of the checklist, there is nothing to prevent installation of the ScreenTrain TV holder in your premises.
